Bloody Skillet Work Details

The Snow Shoe Rails to Trails held work details on the Bloody Skillet Trail on May 16, 17, 18, 2022. We volunteer to help work with DCNR to prepare the trail for the opening of atv/utv riding season Memorial Day Weekend.
We had three fun days with various people adding to the work crews each day. Steve Melman of DCNR worked with one crew installing missing mile markers. The other crews were busy cutting trees and tree limbs from trails that were blocking some of the paths. We collected trash each day and this was the least amount of trash ever collected in all the years we have been doing the prep. So, thank you all for taking out what you bring in.
On the third day we were privileged to have Benner and Brooks Tressler help out along with their mom and dad, Angel & Mike Tressler. These boys were busy collecting trash and learning where to cut tree limbs sticking out on the trail. It was awesome having them along.
Barry Kellerman & Seth Fike shut down their business for a day to come and help out. Chuck Kling shut his business down to come and help out as well. We appreciate all the volunteers to come out and help to keep this trail maintained. It is so important to our community and businesses.
We were advised that the switchback will not be graded till after Memorial Day Weekend. So be careful riding it.
