Gary Halsnik and Andy Basalla reported to Mile Marker 63 where a tree was reported on the trail. While they were cutting the tree off the trail, Joe Reams met up with them while dragging the trail to smooth out some of the pot holes.

9th Annual Carns/SSRTA Pig Roast
It was a beautiful day to host the 9th Annual Carns/SSRTA Pig Roast at Gillentown Trailhead on Saturday, September 25,2021. Wayne Wynick and a fellow worker displayed a few utvs and some other items for sale. We also enjoyed Centre County Commissioner, Mark Higgans attend and support the event. DJ Doug Katchik played some great music while everyone ate. Denny Pearse of Morrisdale won the 50/50-$421.00 and Michelle Guzzi of Scranton won the card raffle of $250.00.It was nice to see Danielle and Jason Vaux of Rockin V Signs and Chelsea and Matt Foster of Matt Foster Associates attend the event too. Great to see Roy & Karen Brooks attend from Brooks Welding of Bellefonte, Jeff Zenkel and his wife brought a nice size crew down from Piney Rail Riders of Clarion. Bob Nitch and his Valley ATV Crew attended from Scranton. We missed Jerry Guever and prayers go out to him. Jon Bartley brought the Polaris Ranger 1000 to the event for display from Best Line. We want to thanks Carns Equipment for their continued support of the trail. We could not do the things we do without them. Please support them when looking for a atv/utv or other equipment such as lawnmowers, power saws, etc. We want to thank the Centre County Probation Office and all our volunteers that helped prepare the day prior to the event and the day of the event. Such great dedicated people!! We also want to thank Chris Vangor, family & friends for working all night cooking the chicken and pigs so we could enjoy a wonderful meal.
This utv will be raffled off on October 16, 2021, 2pm at the Gillentown Trailhead Pavilion. Free meal at this event starting around noon. Ruth Martin - 2 roaster ovens of Pig in a Blanket, Beth Watson, 2 roaster ovens of haluski, Ed Thomas, 1 roaster over of Pierogies, Jim Verost-one large pot of his famous chili, Gary Halsnik will be cooking many hot dogs and hamburgers. Please bring lawn chairs for sitting around pavilion as the raffle will start at 2pm. There will be a chinese auction and 50/50 too. Come join in the fun.
