Saturday, May 6, 2017 SSRTA Work Detail: It may
have rained off and on Saturday but it didn't keep the SSRTA Volunteers
and the Centre County Probation Office helpers from getting their work
done. Eric Brooks, Jack Miller, Nolan Rollo, Larry Mayes led crews
trimming & removing trees & brush from the trail between Black
Bear Trailhead and the Viaduct. Gary & Mary Halsnick led a crew
collecting trash from that area too. Mark Waton led several crews
removing trash from the 3 different highways leading to the Black Bear
Trailhead. Bob Harris led a crew collecting trash from Black Bear
Trailhead towards Winburne on the SSRT. The crews also installed Snow
Shoe Sandwich Shop & Rees' Truck Stop & Restaurant Corporate
signs and filled the information board too. A great bunch of volunteers
& helpers in the poor weather conditions.
