Spaghetti Dinner Ride

3rd Truck Stuff & More/SSRTA Spaghetti Dinner Ride and CMATVA Dice Run

A large turn out for the spaghetti dinner sponsored by Truck Stuff and More of Bellefonte. Another great meal prepared by Ruth Martin & Trilby Mayes. Volunteers from the SSRTA and Center County Probation office helped make the event a success. Doug Katchik DJ'd the event and what a great job he did. So many people to thank for the event-certainly the corporate sponsors that helped provide products, food etc. Mark's Meat of Lamar, Adlers Meat Market of Philipsburg, Hall's Market in Snow Shoe, Mt View Market Place of Kylertown. Cindy does an excellent job of making the cakes - so much detail and last but not lease Truck Stuff & More-Barry Kellerman!! The SSRTA provided numerous door prizes and Barry Kellerman provided some extra special door prizes too - lantern type lights, tire repair kit and a nice camera for use on your helmt while traveling down the trail. Gary Halsnik of Snow Shoe won the camera. Ray Masenheimer of German Settlement won the 50/50- Congratulations Ray!!!Thank you all for you support of the trail & event!

Work Detail Photos - April 13th

We had another great day for a work detail on the Snow Shoe Rails to Trails Saturday, April 13, 2019. Lot's of volunteers showed up to either help or/and supervise people from the Centre County Probation Office. Several gates were scraped, ground, sanded and painted - they included rt 144 Underpass gate and both at Tarman Crossing. Another group painted the bollards at the loading ramp including the front of ramp, painted around corporate sign boards, and restroom bollards and swept entrance to Gillentown Trailhead. Two more gate bollards were extended-those were McKinney Run Gate and Number 10 Gate. A cart load of trash was collected from Gillentown Trailhead to Clarence up Tennessee Turnpike onto Poormanside Road and up Rusnak Hill past the Mud Race Track. A 20 MPH sign was also replaced. Good group of people to work with doing work on the trail and in the community. Thank you all!!

Work Detail Photos - Saturday, April 6th

The Snow Shoe Rails to Trails has a great work detail this past Saturday. We had alot of volunteers show up to work and to help supervise some people from the Centre County Probation Office. We collected trash along approximately 9 miles  State & Snow Shoe Twp Roads, approximately 9 miles of SSRTA, cut trimmed trees from about 1 mile of trail, stained Memorial Pavilion, Scraped, sanded and painted Moshannon Community Center Gate, Widened Two gates, rt 144 Underpass and Gillentown Trailhead side of Gorton Crossing, installed split rail fencing at Gillentown Trailhead Restrooms, Cleaned and restocked restrooms, swept and cleaned off several bridges and concrete pads at gates. Thank you to all the members for volunteering and the Centre County Probation Office for their extra help!
