On Saturday, May 6, 2023, Snow Shoe Rails to Trails Volunteers collected trash from Casanova Spur, from Black Bear Trailhead to Black Moshannon Park, to Munson and Chestnut Street, Coaldale Road, Lochlomond, One Mile Rd through Elks/SSRT Trailhead and to trail leading to the Elks Lodge & the trail down over the hill to Cold Stream
Creamry. Of course, everyone was in for an ice cream. The crew collected 86 bags trash, 6 tires, tv screen and couch & a variety of plastics and metal objects. We appreciated Mike from The Beaten Trail joining the crew, Dave Jackson-Rush Twp Supervisor, Mark Watson for providing his trailer to carry the trash and all the other volunteers that showed up to help keep our community clean. Thank you also to Rush Township for providing a dump truck to place the trash in.
