Bald Eagle Area Students participated in the 25th Year of the
Centre County United Way Day of Caring. Seventh grade students were
delivered by Cramer Busing from Bald Eagle Area High School to the Snow
Shoe Rails to Trails Gillentown Trailhead. They were supervised by their
seventh grade teacher, Mrs McCarty. Gary Halsnik and Larry Mayes
provided material and some instructions too from the SSRTA.
These
volunteers provide community service within the Bald Eagle Area School
District and selected Snow Shoe Rails to Trails. They stained the
railroad ties at the entrance to the trailhead and also painted several
hundred feet of the perimeter fencing surrounding the parking lot. They
started to paint the perimeter fence where last years group left off.
Great job done by all and Snow Shoe Rails to Trails want to thank Mrs.
McCarty and all the volunteers for the great job they did and the fun in
doing it.
