On Tuesday, June 19,2018, Several volunteers cut a large tree from the trail near mile marker 62 between Six mile run and the viaduct bridge on the Snow Shoe Rails to Trails. Nate Sedlak took care of the emergency by painting the tree and placing orange ribbons around it. Thank you Nate. Then, Joe Reams took his skid steer down the trail to assist-and yes he assisted well on this project-the skid steer was a pleasant surprise, and certainly saved us alot of work. Thank you Joe. Then, Ron Fye, Gary Halsnik, Andy Basalla, George Holt and Larry Mayes worked quite a few hours cutting and removing the large tree from the trail. It measured a little over 30 inches in diameter on the main trunk and 18 plus inches on the upper Y section. The trail is now clear and safe to ride.
