ATV Youth Certification Training

Snow Shoe Rails to Trails & Best Line Powersports held ATV Youth Certification Training on Saturday, May 4, 2019. Greg Eitner (DCNR Forest Ranger from Rothrock State Forest helped by making  a presentation advising the kids the laws of riding atvs and where and where not to ride and to always wear a helmet. Bob Biggans, George Holt and Mark Watson - SSRT trainers also did a wonderful job speaking with the kids and to allow them to have some fun while performing the track certification. Marty Wagner and Joy from Best Line also were trainers assisting in all parts of the certification. Joy did all the on site pre-test runs for the attendees. What a great job she does.

Afterwards, the trainees received a temporary driving permit and a SSRTA t-shirt presented by President of the SSRTA Trilby Mayes.

A meal was provided by Best Line Powersports, SSRTA and Beth & Mark Watson to everyone at the end of the event which included Sloppy Joes, Red Skinned Butter Parsley Potatoes, hot dogs, pulled pork & bake beans & water. Anyone stopping in this day out looking for a new atv/utvs also got a free meal. A great selection of atvs/utvs on hand to choose from. Stop in and check them out.

More Rush Township Roads Legalized For ATVs

The Snow Shoe Rails to Trails posted roads recently legalized by Rush Township. The work was coordinated with Rush Township Supervisors, Dave Jackson and Pat Romano and also the Philipsburg Fire Police - Dave & William Crain-- Thank you both for your help. 

SSRTA volunteers installing the signs were, Dave Renninger, Andy Basalla, Gary Halsnik, Tom Neff, Bob Harris & Larry Mayes. Roads legalized were the rest of Coaldale to Loch Lomond and Loch Lomond to the Philipsburg Borough Line. One Mile Road from Loch Lomond to Rt. 504 and entire Dike Road. We want to thank all those people involved in getting these roads legalized and to those volunteers doing the work. Please ride respectively in these areas.
