Snow Shoe Rails to Trails received a check today for $100.00 for coming in second place in the PA Make America Beautiful Video Contest. Angel Tressler made the video of the work detail crews collecting trash along Casanova Road, Casanova Spur, Coaldale Road, Loch Lomond Road, One Mile Road. Over 800 pounds of trash was collected and taken to the Rush Township Facility to load into their dump truck. We want to thank the Rush Township Supervisors and staff for their help to coordinate this work detail. Centre County Recycling & Refuse (Rod Fye) provided vest, gloves, trash bags for this event. Thank you also to our Centre County Probation Office for supplying some help along with a large number of volunteers from the SSRTA.
