The Snow Shoe Rails to Trails lost a good friend of the trail yesterday. Drew Williams of Mechanicsburg passed away. Drew attended many events and a lot of group rides too. Pictures are from a ride to Bald Eagle Forest in June 2017.
Our prayers go out to his wife Dee and the entire family.

15th Annual Best Line Powersports/SSRTA Winter Dinner Ride and CMATVA Poker Run

15th Annual Best Line Powersports/SSRTA Winter Dinner Ride and CMATVA Poker Run was held at the Snow Shoe Rails to Trails and Moshannon Community Center on Saturday, January 20,2018. Dave Walker brought a beautiful Polaris General to display outside the facility. Mary Jane Peters brought the 2018 quilt to display that will be raffled off later this year. We got a new corporate sponsor David Gibble Escavation from Potter County and the community center was full at various times. It seemed like the people came in two large waves to eat and fill the center. SSSRT provided lot's of SSRTA clothing for door prizes. Centre County Probation Office provided some very good workers to help at the event Friday and Saturday. Mary Halsnik raffled off a basket of candles and Jim Verost made his wonderful chili. Trilby Mayes and Gary Halsnik prepared the roast to perfection-lot's of nice comments about the meal. There was no need to go away hungry. Sally Holt prepared a couple wonderful cakes along with three tables of other desserts. Thank you to our membership and local people for stopping by and eating a meal or for taking the meal home. Without all the support, there would be no trail. So, thank you all that donated your time to help out for the event and those that supported it too.
