This past Saturday, April 22, The Snow Shoe Rails to Trails covered more
roads for trash collection than any previous time. This was due to the
number of volunteers & also help from the Centre County Probation
Office. Bob Harris, Cameron, Robin Fye & boys, Mike Fisher, Trilby
Mayes, Harry Moore, Tom & Kathy Robbins led crews on Gorton, Peale,
Pancake, Tennessee Turnpike, Walnut, Fountain, Scotchtown, Birch,
Preslovich, Cemetary, Bumbarger, Tarman Rds, the entire trail from
Viaduct Bridge to Clarence and Rt. 144 from M&D Storage to
crossroads at Rebels in Moshannon. Mary Halsnick planted flowers at
Gillentown & Clarence Kiosk. Gary Halsnick, George Holt headed a
crew to complete the installation of belting on Rock Run Bridge. Carole
& Charles Jensen led a crew trimming the trail from Gorton Crossing
to Peale Crossing. Great volunteers helping to keep our community clean
and beautiful!
